LEARNING CURVE

Learning Curve is an emotionally charged ensemble play that unfolds over the course of a single day in a public charter high school. As teachers and students navigate fights, policies, and impossible expectations, the play explores how justice, empathy, and burnout collide inside institutions designed for control rather than care. Combining dark satire, brutal honesty, and audience immersion, Learning Curve serves as a portrait of survival based on real experiences in the American education system.

(full-length; 7f, 5m, 1 m/f)

[RAPTURE PLAY]

On the eve of a predicted rapture, teenage siblings Kendra and Tommy bicker, joke, and wrestle with faith, doubt, and the looming apocalypse. As the world around them unravels (first in eerie silence, then in chaotic disappearance), they each encounter others grappling with survival, meaning, and the possibility that something beyond comprehension has occurred. [rapture play] is a darkly comic, surreal meditation on belief, loneliness, and what remains when everything else vanished.

THE CASTLE IN THE RESERVOIR

The Castle in the Reservoir is a lyrical folk musical inspired by the Chinese tale "The Water Mother." It follows Shui Muqin, a devoted mother and dutiful daughter-in-law, as she endures cruelty of her tyrannical mother-in-law Shui Huoyan while caring for her curious teenage daughter Shui Haizi. When a mysterious ancestral force gifts Muqin a magical bamboo stick that draws water from a distant well, secrets, jealousies, and ancient powers meet, ultimately unleashing a transformative flood that leads to redemption, sacrifice, and an otherworldly reward. Music by Mike Pacifico.

{SONIC ART}

In a distant future where language and music have been lost to time, two teenagers discover a broken piano in a junkyard and, through playful exploration, awaken the forgotten power of sound. Their joy is challenged by a bitter hermit who sees music as dangerous and corrupting, but their creation cannot be silenced. {sonic art} is a wordless, movement-driven play that celebrates rediscovery, rebellion, and the raw beauty of noise born in silence.

(10 min; 2f, 1m, gender flexible)

HURRICANE

As a hurricane bears down on Florida in 1992, two eleven-year-old boys clash in an attic over words, power, and pain that runs deeper than childhood teasing. What begins as playful roughhousing escalates into a violent confrontation that reveals the bruises hidden as Andrew reaches his breaking point. Hurricane is an emotionally charged snapshot of friendship, drama, and the moment a storm, both literal and emotional, forced everything to come undone.
